Last week, The Blaze brought you exclusive footage of renowned Union organizer Steven Lerner asking college students to be arrested for leftist causes. This week, The Blaze brings you video of Lerner at the same Georgetown event, retelling his labor version of the story of Exodus. Exodus, meaning going out in Hebrew, tells how the children of Israel leave slavery in Egypt through the strength of God. They were being led by Gods messenger, the prophet Moses. Lerner began his retelling of the Israelite Exodus by calling it the first great strike in history: So, anybody here celebrate Passover recently?...

A few years ago, while visiting the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, I had a very disturbing conversation with a member of the Islamic Wakf who was escorting me to make sure that I didnt pray on the holy mountain. I asked him if he could tell me when the Al Aqsa mosque was built. He looked at me with a straight face and responded that it was always there. I hadnt expected that, and of course was surprised and asked him again. I thought that maybe he didnt understand my question and meant that the mountain was always there. So...

Reading a skan-original "first printed" of the Ostrozhsky (OstRih) Bible of 1581 y. (see - Sources), auxiliary I've used traditional Synodal (RST) and Church-slavic (CS) versions. Soon I began to notice a difference of senses in texts of Bibles. Reading, only for the sake of acquaintance with a curiosity, has turned to the most fascinating detective research. The book "Exod", in (RST), (CS), (OstRih), (Torah), and parts of other books, a line by a line - in parallel, has been read, and the differential table is made. (drafts: bible-exodus.narod.ru) Gradually I linked up other canonical and uncanonical Bibles to comparison...

What Really Makes Sarah Special © by Anthony James Much has been said and much has been written about the remarkable and at times seemingly inhuman levels of accomplishment achieved by Sarah Palin in her brief tenure as governor of Alaska. How she succeeded in so many different endeavors where her predecessors had failed. How she not only did what needed doing, but also went after the criminally complicit scoundrels in her state and fitted them all for jumpsuits. How she did all of that in a little over two years during which she also ran for vice president and...

WHY I'M DEPRESSED Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovels, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, (when Welfare was introduced) Roosevelt said, "Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a Camel, this is the Promised Land." Today, the government has stolen your shovel, taxed your asses, raised the price of Camels and mortgaged the Promised Land to China. I was so depressed last night thinking about my retirement, the economy, the wars, lost jobs, etc....

Sarah Palin: Ronald Reagan and Past is Prologue

If Ronald Reagan's speech in 1964 was A Time for Choosing, this was Sarah Palin's Past is Prologue speech. What started off as a paean to the multi-layered personality of Ronald Reagan and a reminder of the greatness of his ideas that came to define a generation of conservatives eventually became through the narrative and eloquence of Sarah Palin our passport to re-enter and our invitation to re-discover the kernel of America's greatness and then to reveal to us in stark language what Americans have forsaken and relinquished since the Reagan Presidency by allowing or acquiescing to the socialist or...
Ground Zero imam: 'We have more of a right to Moses'

Muslims have "more of a right" than Jews to the biblical prophet Moses, declared the imam who has become the new face of the proposed Islamic cultural center near Ground Zero in New York City. Imam Abdallah Adhami also urged Muslims to "compete" with other religions. "We must be doing it first, we must compete with you to be doing more of that. We want to fast Ashura too, because that's the day God saved Moses; that is certainly a day to be celebrated. We have more right to Moses," stated Adhami in a 2008 lecture obtained and reviewed by...

September 21, 2010 BOULDERThe biblical account of the parting of the Red Sea has inspired and mystified people for millennia. A new computer modeling study by researchers at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) and the University of Colorado at Boulder (CU) shows how the movement of wind as described in the book of Exodus could have parted the waters. The computer simulations show that a strong east wind, blowing overnight, could have pushed water back at a bend where an ancient river is believed to have merged with a coastal lagoon along the Mediterranean Sea. With the water...

The False Confidence in Law Romans 2 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. (Romans 2:28-29) Paul has been discussing the righteous judgment of God, warning those who rest in the Law that knowing and even prizing the law does not exempt one from judgment according to truth. This could apply as well to those...
Making Things Up To Moses-Six Different Passover Movies/Six Different Moses'

Tonight Jews celebrate the beginning of Passover. We remember when God took the Jews out of Egypt and made us a free people. Even most non-Jews know that part of the Passover celebration is the Seder meal. We use a book called the Haggadah as a "road map" to the Seder. You may be surprised that Moses is not mentioned in the Haggadah. The sages wanted us to remember that it was God that took us out of Egypt, Moses was only an instrument of the Lord's will. So to make it up to Moses, below are six different movie...

This year, in reciting the Passover story and Exodus from Egypt, I suggest extending the discussion to include stories that might have been featured in newspapers, blogs, and nightly news broadcasts of 4,000 years ago (give or take a few centuries). In this not-so-imaginary world, the headlines and video clips highlight stark images of blood flowing in the Nile and the devastation from frogs, boils, locusts and other plagues. The BBC sends a team of reporters to document the devastation in Egypt for a 10-part series one for each plague. Editorials attack pro-Israelite conspirators, and NPR features moving interviews...

| After reading some more Koran tonight, I had an epiphany. I realized that some of the worst parts of the Koran were similar to worst parts of the Christian Bible. I now believe many parts of both were misinterpreted. While I realize that Islam has been violent throughout its history, so has Judeism and Christianity (think Crusades). I'm not sure I believe in the 72 virgin promise, but I am starting to get Mohammed's believe in a better after-life. I need to read more. That said, our world has gone to shit. Although these distinguished committee members were among the ablest minds in the new nation, they had little knowledge of heraldry. | The Meekness of Moses Text: Numbers 12:1-15  I.         If a little boy came up to and announced, âWhen I grow up, I want to be the meekest man on earth!â What would you think?            A.        Oh, intellectually we know that meekness is a good thing. It is one of the fruit of the Spirit - Galatians 5:22-23             B.        But most of us have this image of a skinny, unassuming guy with a high pitched voice and a timid way of approaching people.            C.        You see it in the definitions of meekness                        1.         âHumble in spirit or manner; suggesting retiring mildness or even cowed submissivenessâ                         2.         âCompliant: evidencing little spirit... |
